Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board TN TRB continues to initiate new vacancies to recruit qualified candidates and place them in various educational institutes requiring teachers. This time Tamil Nadu TRB has started the recruitment of TN TRB Assistant Professor.

Through Assistant Professor Recruitment, TN TRB will recruit 4000 Assistant Professors. These vacancies will be filled by the eligible candidates through the selection process. After selection, candidates will be placed in various government colleges of Arts, Science and Education.

TN TRB Assistant Professors Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Age

• Maximum age limit for the post of Engineering Assistant Professor is 57 years as on 01-07-2016.

• For the post of Assistant Professor of Law, the maximum age limit is 40 years as on 01-07-2018.

• Maximum age limit for the post of Arts & Science Assistant Professor is 57 years as on 01-07-2019.

Educational Qualification

• Assistant Professor Engineering:

BE or B.Tech and ME or M.Tech with First Class or equivalent in relevant Engineering or Technology discipline is required.

• Assistant Professor Arts and Sciences:

Post Graduate degree in relevant subject is required with minimum 55% marks and should be qualified in any of NET/ SLET/ SET/ SLST/ CSIR/ JRF as per UGC norms.

• Take Assistant Professor:

MA Degree and Master’s Degree in Law with minimum 55% marks is required. NET or equivalent level test qualification is also required. Ph.D. Candidates having NET/SLET/SET requirements are not mandatory.

Selection process

• For Assistant Professor Engineering, Arts and Science:
  • Candidates will have to complete a written test to assess their subject and field.

• Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for document verification. At this stage, the certificate and other documents submitted during the application process will be verified.

• For Assistant Professor Law:
  • A written examination of the candidates will be conducted to assess their performance and legal knowledge.

Application Fee

The application fee has to be submitted at the final stage of the application process. Candidates should submit the application fee through the methods accepted and specified by the institute.

Application fee may vary for different candidates. General category candidates have to pay ₹600. SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates other candidates have to pay ₹300.
