Amma Two Wheeler Scheme for Working Women

The Tamil Nadu government runs the Amma Two Wheeler Scheme. It is a program designed for the working women of Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission oversees this program. The main objective of this program is to enable working women to purchase two-wheelers for their own use. The eligible beneficiary will be assisted to purchase a two-wheeler up to Rs 25,000 or 50% of the vehicle price, whichever is less. The beneficiary is free to purchase any car of his/her choice, provided it is a two-wheeler with an engine capacity of more than 125 cc and is gearless or auto-geared. A valid license or learner’s license is also required to avail the program.

eligibility criteria

• The woman must be a resident of Tamil Nadu state
• The age of the applicant should be between 18 to 40 years
• Applicant must know driving
• Candidate must possess a valid two wheeler licence/ learner’s licence
• Annual income should not exceed Rs 2,50,000/-.
• Only a single female beneficiary in a family is eligible to receive the benefit.

Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Education Assurance Scheme

The Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu oversees the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Education Assurance Scheme. Pudhumai Pen Scheme is another name for this scheme. Many girls quit their studies after completing 12th grade due to financial constraints. The cost of education prevents the parents of girls from educating them further, even if they want to do so. Due to all these reasons, girls get married at an early age and are deprived of education. The Tamil Nadu government started this scheme keeping all these things in mind.

The main goal of this program is to provide the necessary financial support to girls to complete their further education. Under this scheme, eligible female students will receive a monthly financial aid of Rs 1,000. This assistance will continue until the girl completes her degree. However, under this initiative, only those girls are eligible for financial assistance who have completed their education from class 6 to class 12 in government schools in Tamil Nadu.

• Only girls can apply.
• Girls who have graduated from classes six to twelve from government schools in Tamil Nadu.
• Women enrolled in any undergraduate program.
• Girls who have completed Classes 9 to 12 in government schools and Classes 6 to 8 in private schools in Tamil Nadu under the Right to Education Act (RTE) are also welcome.

Tamilnadu Unemployment Assistance Scheme

The Tamil Nadu government launched the Unemployment Assistance Scheme to aid the unemployed youth of the state. This program provides monthly financial assistance to youths from underprivileged backgrounds to help them meet their job search costs and find the most suitable position according to their qualifications. The Employment and Training Department of Tamil Nadu oversees the implementation of this scheme across the state. Through the District Employment and Coaching cum Guidance Centers, the state provides a platform for employers and job seekers to connect. This scheme provides financial assistance and job placement assistance to persons with disabilities, which is a great help.

Tamil Nadu Marriage Assistance Scheme

The main initiative of the Tamil Nadu government for the benefit of women is the Tamil Nadu Marriage Assistance Scheme. The nodal department for this program is the Department of Social Welfare and Women Empowerment of Tamil Nadu. The primary goal of this program is to provide financial assistance to underprivileged girls and women in the state for their marriage.

• The applicant must be a resident of Tamil Nadu.
• The bride must be eighteen years of age.
• The age of bride and groom should be more than 21 years.
• There is no income limit in this.
• There is no minimum education level required.
• One of the spouses must be a member of the SC/ST community.

Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme

Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Yojana includes the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (AB-PMJAY). Atmanirbhar Bharat Yojana, which is a great initiative of the Tamil Nadu government, is for those whose annual income is less than Rs 1,20,000. About 1.37 crore families have been protected under this program. The program also includes enrollment of orphaned children. In attached hospitals, it provides free medical care. Currently, 828 diagnostic centers and 1137 hospitals are functioning under this program.

• His name should be mentioned on the family card or ration card.
• Annual family income should be less than Rs 120,000

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Solar Rooftop Capital Incentive Scheme

The Tamil Nadu government launched the Chief Minister’s Solar Rooftop Capital Incentive Scheme in 2013. Under this scheme, customers can install solar PV plants in their homes at subsidized prices. The Tamil Nadu government is going to provide a subsidy of twenty thousand rupees. The entire maintenance of the solar PV plant will be done for free for five years. Installing a solar PV plant will reduce the electricity bill. This program is available only to domestic customers who have a TANGEDCO service connection. The Chief Minister’s Solar Rooftop Capital Incentive Scheme is open for application both online and offline.

• A one kWp plant will be eligible for subsidy.
• Only grid-connected rooftop solar PV systems are covered under this scheme.

Tamil Nadu Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme

The Tamil Nadu government has launched a program to assist unemployed youth who are willing to start their own business. The main social welfare initiative of the Tamil Nadu government will be called the Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Program.
The primary goal of this program is to provide financial assistance to the youth of Tamil Nadu, as well as enable them to start their own business, which will generate employment. Through this scheme, employment opportunities will be created for others in addition to helping unemployed children find work. Capital subsidy of up to Rs.2,50,000/- or 25% of the total project cost will be given to eligible candidates under the Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Program.

• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
• The applicant must be educated at least up to class 8.
• The family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 5,00,000 per annum.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Fellowship Programme

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program was initiated by the state government. The program aims to identify and develop talents of young professionals from various academic and professional backgrounds. The Special Program Implementation Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu is the nodal department for the fellowship program. The Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program gives young people a chance to work in the government. The academic partner of the program is Bharathidasan Institute of Management, located in Tiruchirappalli. MBA students of Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli can participate in a special social immersion program. The academic partner acts as the nodal agency of the selection process.

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
• Applicant’s age should be between 22 to 30 years at the time of application.

Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Remembrance Assistance Scheme

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister launched the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme. The main objective of this program was to encourage girls to obtain academic degrees or certificates and to provide assistance to financially struggling parents for the marriage of their daughters. Under this scheme, non-graduates were given financial assistance of Rs 25,000. While graduates were given financial assistance of Rs 50,000. A 22 carat, 8 gram gold coin for Thirumangalam was also given to both graduates and non-graduates.

• The applicant must be a resident of Tamil Nadu.
• The bride must have passed 10th or higher education and 5th class for ST category girls.
• The age of the bride must be above 18 years
• The age of the bride and groom should be above 21 years
• Annual income should be Rs.72,000/- per year
