Shubman Gill IPL Records: The 24th match of IPL 2024 between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will take place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. While the Rajasthan Royals team has been unbeaten so far in the season, the Gujarat team has faced defeat in the last two matches. Therefore, the Gujarat team will strive to win this match and achieve victory. However, they will have to work hard to secure a win against Rajasthan. This match will also witness a significant record on Shubman Gill’s target.
Will be equal to David Warner
Shubhman Gill, who started his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 and later moved to Gujarat Titans in 2022, has accumulated 2973 runs from 93 innings in 96 matches. He is just 27 runs away from reaching the milestone of 3000 runs in the IPL. If he manages to achieve this feat in the upcoming game against Rajasthan Royals, he will match David Warner’s record of reaching 3000 runs in 94 innings. This upcoming match will also mark Gill’s 94th innings in the IPL.
Entry into Gayle-Rahul’s club
Once Shubman reaches the milestone of 3000 runs, he will become a member of the elite group of batsmen who have achieved this feat in the shortest amount of time in the IPL. The current record for the fastest 3000 runs in the IPL belongs to former West Indies captain Chris Gayle, who has represented KKR, RCB, and Punjab Kings. Gayle accomplished this remarkable feat in just 75 innings. Following closely behind Gayle is KL Rahul, an Indian batsman, who achieved the milestone in 80 innings, making him the fastest Indian batsman to reach 3000 runs in the IPL.
Fastest 3000 runs in IPL
- Chris Gayle – 75 innings
- KL Rahul – 80 innings
- David Warner – 94 innings
- Suresh Raina – 103 innings
- AB de Villiers – 104 innings
- Ajinkya Rahane – 104 innings
