Princess Anne has broken her silence after a horse accident as she shares her “deep regret” as she recovers from the injury.
Anne, 73, suffered “minor injuries and concussions” at her Gatcombe Park estate home in Gloucestershire.

It is understood that Anne was roaming around the grounds with horses in the vicinity.
She was admitted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, but has now been discharged after five days of treatment, Buckingham Palace said.
During a planned trip to Canada, she was to attend the centennial of the Newfoundland National War Memorial and the repatriation of the remains of the Unknown Newfoundland Soldier from the First World War battlefields of northern France.
In his absence, the Governor General read the Princess’s message.
He said: “It is with great regret that I cannot be with you today, as you commemorate the brave efforts and sacrifices of the members of the Newfoundland Regiment who went into battle on the first day of the Somme.
“I have fond memories of joining you in 2016, at the 99th commemoration of the Battle of Beaumont Hamel by the Islanders, and I am very sorry that I cannot join you again, and I send you my best wishes. Best wishes on this special day of remembrance. .”
Her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, said: “I am very grateful to all the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, skill and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but was not required after treatment at the scene.
During her time in hospital, the princess was forced to cancel her upcoming engagements – including a trip to Canada for a planned tour and an appearance at a state banquet.
In a statement released last week, Buckingham Palace said: “Her Royal Highness is receiving appropriate specialist care. No further details are being shared at this stage.
“Her Royal Highness will remain at Southmead Hospital until advised otherwise by her medical team.
“On the advice of doctors, Her Royal Highness’ engagement will be postponed until next week.
“Her Royal Highness apologizes to anyone who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”
