Types of PM Awas Yojana 2024
This scheme has been divided into 2 parts by the government. The first part is for rural areas and the second part is for urban areas, people of both these areas are given different amounts of assistance for building houses.
1. Prime Minister Rural Housing Scheme: Under this scheme, houses of up to 25 square meters are built for the people of rural areas, which also includes a kitchen, and the people of rural areas are provided with an assistance amount of 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees for this. While the rural people of hilly areas are provided an assistance amount of 1 lakh 30 thousand rupees.
2. Pradhan Mantri Urban Housing Scheme: Under this scheme, people of urban areas are given financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh 50 thousand for building a permanent house. The money of the beneficiaries is transferred to their bank account in different installments through DBT.
