PGCIL invites online applications from fresh Engineer Graduates for Engineer Trainee positions in various disciplines. The recruitment notice is a continuation of the PGCIL earlier recruitment notice dated 26 September 2023.
The organization plans to fill 435 Engineer Trainee posts for PowerGrid and CTUIL (Central Transmission Utility of India Limited), a subsidiary of PGCIL. Interested candidates can apply online now for PGCIL recruitment as the application window is open from 12 June 2024.
The last date to submit the online application for the Engineer Trainee recruitment is 4 July 2024 (23:59). The recruitment of Engineer Trainees in PGCIL and CTUIL will be made through GATE 2024 score.

The shortlisted candidates for GD and interview will go through a psychometric assessment. The candidates who qualify for the Personal Interview and Gate 2024 will be considered for induction.
The selected candidates will work in PGCIL offices, transmission line offices, substations, and construction sites across the country & abroad. The CTUIL-selected candidates will work in CTUIL offices.

Citizenship:
- Only Indian nationals can apply for the PGCIL recruitment.
Age Limit
- The applicant’s lower age limit is 18 or above.
- The applicant’s upper age limit for the recruitment is 28 years.
- The relaxation in the upper age limit for OBC candidates is 3 years, for SC/ST candidates 5 years, for PwBD candidates 10 years, and for Ex-services as per the government of India guidelines.
Educational Qualification:
- The applicants must have done full-time BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in the relevant discipline with a minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA from the recognized Institute/ University.
- The final-year students who expect their results by 14 August 2024 can also apply for the recruitment.
- The applicants must have appeared and qualified the GATE 2024.
