What is Pasupu Kumkuma Scheme 2024?
On Thursday, the Election Commission (EC) ruled in favour of the TDP administration in Andhra Pradesh, saying that any money transfer made through the Pasupu Kumkuma scheme would not be against the model code of conduct. The Delhi High Court ordered the commission to pronounce its verdict on a complaint alleging that the Andhra Pradesh government plans to transfer the final instalment of Rs 4,000 to beneficiaries of the scheme before the first round of polling on April 11. The order was given in response to the complaint. Pasupu Kumkuma was set up to provide financial assistance to women enrolled in self-help groups. Each recipient gets a smartphone and Rs 10,000 in cash.

Eligibility Criteria for Pasupu Kumkuma Scheme 2024

- Only women Self Help Group (SHG) members are eligible for this program.
- This programme is open only to self-help groups that are registered with the Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA).
