A Walmart shopper is furious at being stopped at the exit door for a receipt check with only flip flops in hand.
The Walmart employee insisted that the receipt must be checked because the shopper did not have a bag for the $2 flip-flops.

Hill is shocked that Walmart would implement checking his receipt for one less product.
“Walking out of Walmart like this and the guy stops me to check my receipt,” Hill said. said.
Hill went on about how her flip-flops were stopped for being bagless.
“Because I didn’t have a bag,” Hill said.
“Those are f**king $2 flip-flops.
“I hate Walmart.”

Walmart implemented receipt checks at most of its stores as it increased self-checkout and for security purposes.
Theft has become a prevalent issue and receipt checks are intended to prevent people from getting away with it.
However, many customers dislike anti-theft policies and refuse to participate in them.
Customers who know their rights won’t be stuck because Walmart can’t enforce receipt checks without good reason.
“I don’t stop, I don’t have to by law,” said another Walmart shopper Post on Facebook.

Los Angeles attorney Cameron Dolatshahi spoke to The US Sun about receipt checks and consumer rights and options when asked to show your receipt.
