What is the objective of PM Saubhagya Yojana?

Benefits and Features of PM Saubhagya Yojana
The benefits and features of this scheme are as follows.
1. The benefit of this scheme will be given to the citizens of both rural and urban areas of the country.
2. Free electricity connection will be provided to the poor families of the country.
3. Under this scheme, solar panels will be installed in those areas where it is not possible to provide electricity.
4. Under this scheme, the cost of 5 LED lights, 1 DC fan, 1 DC power plug and their repair for 5 years will be borne by the government.

2. Income tax paying citizens are not eligible for this scheme.
