What is CM Mari Ladki Bahu Yojana?

The Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Maharashtra Shri Ajit Pawar announced the CM Mari Ladki Bahun Yojana or Ladki Bahun Yojana on Friday, 28 June 2024 while passing the budget for the year 2024-2025. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Maharashtra Women and Child Development Department have launched this scheme for the women of the state.

Objective of Ladki Behan Yojana

There are some objectives of launching the recently announced Ladki Behin Yojana in the state of Maharashtra, the main objectives are:

• The main objective of launching Ladki Behan Yojana is to financially empower every poor woman of the state so that they can meet their needs with the help of financial assistance.
• The scheme has been launched so that every woman can focus on her children’s nutrition and invest in her children’s education.
• Under Chief Minister Mari Ladki Bahu Yojana, women of the state will be able to become self-reliant, and girls will also be able to avail higher education.
• Under this scheme, every woman in the state of Maharashtra will get financial assistance of Rs 1,500 per month and 3 free LPG cylinders per year.
• Under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, the state government will pay the college admission fee to the OBC and EWS category students of the state.

Ladki Behn Yojana Eligibility Criteria

To apply for Chief Minister Mari Ladki Bahun Yojana or Ladki Bahun Yojana, applicants must have certain qualifications, these qualifications are

• Applicant must be permanent resident of Maharashtra State.
• Women from all poor families in the state can apply for Girl Sister Scheme.
• Women whose family income per annum is Rs. 2,50,000 will be eligible for this scheme.
• The female applicant should be a married, widowed, divorced, abandoned or destitute woman.
• Age of female applicant should be between 21 years to 60 years i.e. she should not have completed 60 years.

First of all, let us tell you that the women of Maharashtra state will have to wait for some time to avail the benefits of Ladki Bahin Yojana, because on June 28, 2024, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Maharashtra State Shri. Ajit Pawar announced this scheme. While the scheme has not yet been implemented, it is expected that the girl child scheme will be launched by the end of July 2024 in the state of Maharashtra.
