This scheme includes farmers, agricultural labourers and labourers in market yards doing agricultural work/business, farmers and poultry farming and dairy farming. It is applicable to all.
The benefit of this scheme is provided only in case of death or disability. So that farmers can use this financial assistance amount to feed themselves and their families in this time of crisis. A budget of Rs 40 lakh has been set for the year 2023-24 under this scheme. By July 2023, financial assistance of Rs 3.80 lakh will be provided to 7 affected farmers under this scheme.

Under the Mukhyamantri Kisan and Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana, special assistance ranging from Rs 37,500 to Rs 5 lakh is provided to farmers, agricultural laborers, laborers working in market yards in case of death or disability while working on agricultural loan. Financial assistance amount is provided to the people covered under this scheme as follows.
- In case of death, financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be given.
- In case of permanent disability due to spinal cord damage or otherwise, financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh 50,000 will be given.
- In case of fracture of two limbs/permanent serious injury, the victim will be given a financial assistance of Rs 1,87,500.
- In case of serious injury/amputation of one limb (amputation of four fingers is considered as loss of one limb), financial assistance amount of Rs. 1,25,000 will be given.
- An amount of Rs 75,000 will be provided as financial assistance in case of amputation of the entire finger.
- In case of partial finger fracture, a benefit of Rs 37,500 will be given.
- This financial assistance amount provided by the government will go directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries.
